![]() It lays down a little carpet of fire that comes out fast enough, has okay range and a cast tends to raise the fire gauge by 33% to 80% on anything not strong against it. One helpful tip is the Fire 10 spell that for me costs 666 stam. ![]() It's not all that bad in C as I spent a good 6 hours there while exploring, you just have to be more precise with your parries and not push your stam luck too much. That said, I am 45 fire, 40 earth, 25 wood,3 metal and 15 water right now, so I'm geared to tolerate heavy armor while remaining in B agility. This works with the HP syphon spell, the Wood 3 one to get "free" heals that are fairly weak but hey) (So in fact, after you stun a boss, you can quickly cast a spell, fatal blow and be in the clear. ![]() Small hits give you back a little bit, big red critical countering gives you back FAT chunks - and performing a Fatal Blow neutralizes your stamina. The slower stamina regeneration can easily be offset by what the game wants you to do : Parry ♥♥♥♥. I've survived hits with 1-17 hp way way way too often, and it's probably the armor's merit. I don't know if it adds all THAT much to your defense, but it certainly helped me survive some attacks in regular NG When I was still learning. ![]() I don't find it particularly useful except to reposition out of a "dumb" line attack if I'm not confident I can block it (which is rare). The game doesn't really have traditional stamina, and the dodge seems to have VERY few iframes (Do we know how much for A, B, C yet?). I don't usually heavy armor for these kinds of games but drifted into it out of a gut feeling. ![]()
